What your dream may be telling you

DreamMeant is a dream interpretation site that reads dreams through psychology. Describe your dream, and the reading starts from its own people, places and feelings, offering possible meanings rather than predictions.

How it works

Three steps, about a minute

  1. Write the dream down

What happened, who was there, and how it felt. Fragments are fine.

  2. Its images are read

Each person, place and moment, together with the feeling around it.

  3. You get a reading

What the dream may be about, the details it rests on, and a question for you.

Example

One dream, and the start of its reading

The free part of a reading, as it appears. The full reading goes image by image and ends with one question to take further.

The dream

I was giving a presentation at work when my front teeth started to crumble. I kept talking and covered my mouth with my hand, hoping no one would notice. My manager sat in the front row, smiling as if nothing was wrong.

The readingFree

This dream may be about a fear of looking less capable than you'd like at work: you keep going and hide the problem rather than stop. Your front teeth crumbling mid-presentation carries the dream most clearly (front teeth are the ones everyone sees when you speak, so losing them can stand for losing face).

Our approach

How we read dreams

  • Your dream, not a dictionaryA reading starts from your details and how they felt, not from a list of fixed symbol meanings.
  • It shows its workingEvery part names the image it rests on, so you can check it against your memory of the dream.
  • Possibilities, not verdictsA reading offers ways to understand a dream, often more than one. It doesn't tell you what will happen.
  • Feelings come firstHow the dream felt often decides between readings: a snake you feared and a snake you followed point different ways.
FAQ

Questions about dream interpretation

How does DreamMeant interpret a dream?

It reads what's in your dream: the people, places and moments, and how they felt. The reading says what the dream may be about and which image carries it most clearly; the full version goes image by image and ends with one question to take further. Every part names the detail it rests on, so you can check it against your memory.

Do dream symbols have fixed meanings?

No. There is very little research on what any single dream image means, and the same image can mean different things to different people. What research does support is that dreams tend to reflect what's on your mind and how you feel. So a reading starts from your own dream and offers possible meanings, not a dictionary answer.

What if I only remember a fragment?

Write what you have. A single scene or feeling is enough to start, and you can write up to 2,000 characters.

What happens to my dream?

It's used only to write your reading. It's kept for 30 days so you can reopen the reading in the same browser, then deleted, and it isn't used to train AI models.

Had a dream you can't shake?

Write it down while you still remember it. The start of a reading is free.
